Your challenges
As a Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure to support the cloudification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Service Deployment & Management: Deploy and configure Azure services including Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage and more. Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of Azure resources.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement infrastructure as code using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, … to provision and manage Azure resources. Leverage tools such as Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices within the Azure environment.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Troubleshoot issues related to Azure infrastructure, performance, and connectivity. Collaborate with support teams to diagnose and resolve incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment between Azure infrastructure and application requirements. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement.
Role in the team:
- Supporting the Application Team to onboard on Azure : provide information and support about thesetup, the way to deploy on Azure (IaC), …
- Develop new features (ARM templates, Azure policies, …)
- Support the team to ensure Security compliancy (vulnerabilities, tagging, removing technical debts…
Daily/weekly tasks:
- Some support to the application teams (ticketing system with support requests exist)
- Daily work on Project mode, depending on the activities. (each team member receives a list of tasks to be delivered during the Sprint (3 weeks sprint)
- Daily sync meeting (30 min, full team) to share updates/blocking points
- Weekly team meeting + weekly “Azure refinement” session to discuss about how solutions could be implemented
Your profile
- A master’ or bachelor’s degree in IT or in Sciences with a strong interest in IT.
- A good command of English. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is considered an asset
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing AZURE cloud infrastructure in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of Azure services and their use cases, including compute, storage, networking, security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI for automation and infrastructure management tasks.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, …
- Java and .Net development skills is a plus.
- Azure certification(s) such as Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
